Hi, I’m Jordan.

I am a strategic communicator with 10+ years of experience in the philanthropic, government, and non-profit sectors. Brand management, communications planning, and storytelling are the areas of communications I love most.

My career throughline is helping dynamic organizations and changemakers communicate their impact and move people to action. Finding effective, engaging ways to present information and tell stories is the best part of any job I do.

I earned my BA in Journalism from Howard University and my master’s in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.

I’m also a self-taught calligrapher and graphic recorder/visual notetaker.

Narrative change gives what I do purpose.

I’m inspired by the ways people experiencing marginalization build narrative power. I have shared my knowledge of anti-oppressive language and framing on statewide platforms including the Council of Michigan Foundations Annual Conference and state communicators roundtables.

I’m intrigued by typography and how fonts make humans feel. I enjoy making space for calligraphy and doodling in my life. Sometimes, I combine art with my love for communicating to create visual notes.
